oops... i thought i was loosening it...but i was tightening it. So i fucked up the threads and now the plug wont come out. When and if i fonally get the plug out.. I know i will need a new one. But will i also need a whole new oil pan. Do you think i messed up the threads on the oil pan.

Also, you know any dealerships that give good prices on the stuff?

Autozone has drain plugs for less than 2 bucks. Probably won't need a new oil pan.

is there a certain size ours takes?

just take in the old one and match it up. i might have an extra if can't find one.

you raise an intresting point...juggalo.. but how am i supposed to match up oil plugs if i have no oil in my car to get there, lol silly

bwahaha, sounds like a riddle. how fast do you think you could unscrew the plug in the parking lot, run inside autozone to show it, and run back to the car? well at least you could buy some oil while you there.

Take it to a shop that does "helix coil" work. My buddy had it done to his BMW here in Germany for about $70. The mechanic took what looks like a spring and essentially replaced the threads in the oil pan. That is of course if your oil pan thread is stripped. :thumbsup

also you can get a self tapping drain plug if it's stripped and re thread the hole. you just have to go in two threads and back one repeatedly until done.
