They don't show the product on their site (for our cars), you have to call them up.

With the installation of this AFX Ecu, is it manditory to use higher octane gasoline or can I stick to regular unleaded? Hopefully this isn't the case because with these soaring gas prices, it's going hard on the wallet if I have to pay 220 a gal for premium.

Sorry, I couldn't let this post get old without asking a bunch of n00b questions.

1- you send off your CPU? So daily drivers will need to buy another one, unless one can afford the 7 week turnaround time... ?

2- I did manage to find something about an ECU on howell's website (it might have been for the neon, though). It recommends upgrading other parts of your enging (top end, valves/springs) to avoid destroying it... since the rev limit is raised. Is this a necessity? How will this affect auto trannys (any different from MTX?)...

Thanks again..

2.20 a gal? owch.

but considering reg is only 20 cents less.... whats the big deal? we dont drive 40 gal tank SUVs....it doesnt hurt our wallet as bad.

premium for all!!! always!
unless someone can give a GOOD reason why not.

if the PCMs take that long.... ow. but from what ive read they seem to be worth every penny and minute. -wrecked talons/eclipses should provide cheap PCM cores. anyone know how much for a wrecked 2GNTs PCM at the local pik-u-part? id send em one to test the 96 OBDII ver if they felt so inclined.

Where can i get some info on the ecu? Is there a thread on here somewhere about it. I want it, but want some info. Like the rev limiter, how does your car run with it(someone who has it installed) and is it worth it.
