I posted this on ASOG but you know I gotta check with all the 420a crowd just to get more opinions and things to check for, could really use some help here guys....

She ran like a champ, guys let me tell you not 1x did I even get on her or pass 3K but I could feel the ease of the car wanting to just lurch out and go, and that clutch, my gawd!!! Great stuf, anywayz, all was good, had a lil buck and hesitation, figured it was the old ass spark plugs that where in there from the 440 era, anywayz when I would press in teh clutch to threw her in neutral, teh revs would jump to 2K and stay there, SO had to head back to Juans ,opened the ho
od, and the damn radiator resevior overfill was boiling!!!! Literally boiling!!!ow what the hell can cause something like this?? I did get a check engine light
but couldn't log her cause it was to late and my damn battery won't hold a charge on the laptop anymore!!! But I do have a 195 degree thermos in there which I'm gonna swap out, someone said that do to teh fact that the block has been bored over, and everything and is now high performance, mated with a 5 degree higher then stock thermo, that's what could be causing the prob?? What do you think?? EGT's where in order, a/f fine, but just a high idle, someone said that it's idling to high casue it's running so hot?? At start up she's fine, but stays at 2K just when she starts to get warm, I gotta check the TPS, I never did changed it out, can't see why it would go bad, so just wanted to know what is your take on it and things to check before I tear into things that not need to be touched, let me know asap, sorry for the book.I;ll plug in the laptop and dattalog it and se what I could get but suggestions ppl??

So close but yet so freaking frustrating!!!!

I get some bubbling action after hard driving also while the coolant is flowing from the engine to the overflow tank. Not like water over a stove but you could definately hear and see it. I just has my radiator snaked and coolant system checked so I didn't worry about it and haven't noticed if its still happening or not. Everthing else was fine. It only occured after the car was shut off. I had some water wetter in there also.

Same thing was happening to me at one time. All I did was replace the thermostat and the cap on the thermostat housing and it never did it again. When you're turbo... it also a good idea to get some of that Redline water wetter.

Check to see if you have any deposits in the bottom of the reservoir. You may need to flush and fill. I would suggest using Dex-Cool and Watter Wetter, should add to your cooling capabilities. Check you coolant temp sensor too, it can throw off idle also. TPS and IAC while you are back there. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

it's boiling because of lack of pressure. do a flush, fillit, idle it till the thermostat kicks on, let it cool, fill it again, idle it, cool it for a minute or two, then use the pressure release valve on the engine side of the thermostat, it's a small hex head, just loosen that till your pressure is released. it's kindof a bitch to get loose also.
