if i happened to find a 2.4L off a PT Cruiser, and i wanted to drop it into my RS, would i need the transmission? I'm also wondering how alike the 2.4L is to our 2.0Ls (as in, what parts are interchangeable because i see many more parts for the 2.0 than the 2.4). also, if i wanted to go turbo, would i have to get a PT Cruiser kit from hahn, could i get an eclipse kit, or would i have to do it my damn self?

i know the 2.4L has been discussed before but my current 2L has 159,000 miles and i'm researching this because i'm seriously considering dropping a 2.4L in my car but i'm worried about the lack of aftermarket support (and i'm also worried about the labor costs :()

the motor came in pt cruisers, dodge stratus, chrysler cirrus, dodge caravan, and another i think, all 95 and up

you can use your current tranny

your going to use your 2.0 head, bolts straight up to the 2.4 block, so the hrc kit for your 2gnt would work.

oil pan, motor mount, ps and ac bracket will need to be fabricated, you can use the pt alt bracket. if professionally installed prob 400+ depending on were you live, and tuning of the motor is a must...
