44844, short block? Posted by actingrezy, Feb-19-03 01:09 PM
I am in the middle of collecting all my money to either purchase a built block or have someone around my area build the block for me once the parts are recieved. i have been in contact with advanced racing dynamics they said they would be able to get me a spare block and all the parts and would be able to build the block and ship it out to me. I know a few people on the board have gotten work done there. I would like to know if their work has been quality and if it would be a good idea to have a block made by them? if anyone whos know of their work could please help me out because i do not want to waste 2 grand to buy a block assembled and run into problems or any horry stories that i have heard from places. or if there are any reputable shops that someone can recommend that will build blocks? any suggestions?

ARD is a good shop does good work no horror stories on the board that i know of,
Black Dog Motorsports can build u a block,
people have had some problems with howell....
or i can provide u with the parts and u can have it built by a local machine shop when u drop it off for the machine work they should only charge u 250-400$ to assemble a short block...
im building Collente a Short Block right now out of my spare 2.0, i dont have anymore blocks laying around or i could do the same for you..
