Hey guys,

I am getting ready to change my tranny fluid (currently have BG syncroshift) but think I want to go back to stock fluids -- the guy at the parts counter is telling me there are two types -- does someone have a part number from a DODGE dealer -- thank you.

And btw -- its 2.1 quarts of fluid right?

Okay, first off -- this stuff is damn expensive -- cost me $15 per quart here in Jersey.

When they say change it every 30,000 miles -- DO IT...the car which was shifting like crap yesterday -- is smooth as butter today. I am guessing since I shift at 7K rpms all the time -- the old fluid which was the non-recommended BG-Syncroshift broke down.

As a result -- I had this horrible rattling noise when the car was cold -- which many thought was a messed up throw-out bearing. One soul out there -- and I can't remember who -- suggested changing the fluid -- as it alleviated his noises -- well, I am keeping my fingers crossed but I haven't heard that noise since I fired up the car for the first time and let the fluid work its way through (and it is damn cold here).

Now I get to track down other noises my car makes ... your never quite finished are you?

So...if you take only one thing away from this message -- CHANGE YOUR FLUID!!!
