Posted by ddimestoledotalon, Feb-15-03 09:24 PM
well late last night early this morning(4-7) i was stranded on the highway in ohio (toledo-bg area). My alternator had died becuse my belt tenisiner had fell out of the car because when Hasty's (the shop who changed my head gasket) didnt tighten and use all the bolts required to keep the belt in place, causing the alternator belt to become loose. Anyways since ive gone to this so called mechanics shop. i have had nothin but problems with my car, and the oil is stil leaking where it was leaking before i got it fixed. Well my grandfather said i should go ask for my money back or take these guys to court, but my grandmother said just chalk this up as a loss and just forget hasty took our money.

should i
a)go with grandfather
b)go with grandmother

Since im almost 21 my grandparents told me its my decision becasue its my car.

I say go with your grandpa! I had a similiar problem. I have a friend who is a legal assistant so I get hookups on legal advice. So when I went back to the shop and told them that I spoke with a lawyer first, which kind of scared them, so I didn't have any problems. I say reach down, grab those things and march right back to where the work was done and demand a refund. Never hurts to try, right?
