Well, I believe if you pull out the AT dipstick, the upper hole is about 180-185 degrees. Temperature will vary according to load, climate, weather, driving style, etc.......

I know in the winter it shouldn't even move above 100degrees.
In the summer I think you don't want it to go over 200, but I could be wrong.
