4427, My problem better explained...HELP?? Please Posted by GSsport, Jul-01-01 07:52 AM
When I am going 60 MPH with O/D off and floor it, it shifts down to second and goes nice and strong. When I shifts to third and gets to 4,500 RPM about 80 MPH it then bogs down to 4,000 and sometimes 4,250 and stays there. The engine is revving at that RPM but I am not going any faster..it just stays at around 80. Now if I let off of the gas a little bit, say 10% of the throttle, it then picks up, RPMs increase like normal, MPH increases like normal. After I release it the little bit and it picks up, I can then but the pedal back to the floor with no problems after that. This is a weird problem and it is more than likely affecting all acceleration at all speeds and RPMs. The only thing I can think of is the Throttle Postion Sensor is bad. I already changed the vacume lines back to stock so it's not that. Also, the first time this happened it was after I put on the AEM CAI. When I went 120 MPH the ONE time I did that, the car was stock. So if anyone can help me that would be great. I sure hope someone knows whats up with this. Sorry for the long post but this is a long problem. See you guys later, Rob (GSsport)
