Since i have to replace it, what cool things can i do while its out. I plan on a new flywheel, clutch, lsd, of course the tranny itself, then the buschings for the shifter, and cut down my stock shifter. Is there anything that can be done to the gearing while its out, or anything else internally?

Nah, all that will be plenty. Only thing you can do is put neon SOHC gears in it, which will slow you down if your not heavily built up to take advantage of it. You could do cryo treatment or shit like that but i wouldnt go through all that and the $$ thats involved.

Get a neon 3 speed auto!!!!! It can take 390 lbs of torque "stock". Howell Auto sells a tone of stuff to build it up even more. And the best thing is no ECU for it.

Look into which model Saturn uses the NVG 350 tranny and has a 4.1x final drive.

I was told not to cryo the tranny because it makes the parts more britle and will break just as fast as a stock tranny. I am doing the exact same as you clutch, lsd, fllywheel Other then that there is nothing to do unless you wanna go all out and replace gears like stated above.

Your going to need a REAL big turbo to get 500fwhp. I personally am going to get the FP green or the new fp-30 later down the road. I am at ~350 fwhp @ 20-21psi when the car is working and not broken. It's been down for about 2 months now.

The s16g is supposed to be good to 400hp but I dont know if I personally can get that extra 50 out of it. I've got some tweaking to do still...

yeah don't get any of the tranny parts cryo-dipped or you'll be needing another tranny soon.

I was planning on a low compression 2.4 swap with a frank series turbo. I know these number have been hit on that swap, i jus wanna be one of them ;)

If you plan on making a lot of power just add the sohc 3.55 gears to your list and leave it at that.

You guys should not bother with the frank turbos or the greens or reds. Really. Just call FP and have them build you a custom garret. Most the turbos you keep reading about are for a specific market, ie 4g63 eclipse. You have a 420A with a different manifold. Have FP build something for your needs since you can.

You can also always have them modify your current turbo like I did.
