Wow, all kinds of people are having starting probs! Mine is wierd. The car runs fine and all, but sometimes when I jump in and try to start it, it just cranks and never actually starts. So I turn the key off for 5 seconds and try it again, and it works like nothing was ever wrong. It only happens like twice a week, and sometimes it will go a whole month without probs. WTF!?!? Anybody have any ideas?? Spark plugs are new, but the rest of the ignition has 98K on it.

Do a normal tune up. If you have just under 100k without changing some of that stuff out, that COULD definatly be your problem. Just got to any auto parts store and let them know you wanna do a tune up, an they will hook you up with all the items you need.

on the times where it doesn't start. do you hear your fuel pump?

might could be your relay pooping out.

Yeah I too have been having start issues. The alarm will go on and off, but as soon as I turn the key it all dies. I know it's a faulty connection to the battery but can't quite fix it. I see that red plastic cover burnt. I have my amps, my alarm and neon all hooked up to the (+) terminal and the damn bolt is stripped. Once it starts it won't but it's a pain opening the hood with snow. One good weather day I'll tackle it. x(

I don't think it's the fuel pump, cuz I did change the fuel filter a couple months ago, and when you disconnect the power from the fuel pump, you still are able to start it for about 2 seconds. Anyone else??? THanks to the others too!
