does the final drive mod really close the gap that much?

say a stock 5speed ran a stock atx w/ final drive who would win... from a stop...at a 30mph roll?

thats a good question i've noticed i can pull harder from a stop, and a little harder from a roll, but i haven't had a chance to run a 5 sp.

I've beat a 96' 5 speed Eclipse w/ intake exhaust from a slow slow slow roll, like 5 mph, and it was close from a stop, (less than a car length) IT may have been that his car was old but the final drive mod does close the gap quite a bit.

I think mod for mod it's really close. The only thing is that a MT can get off the line better than us. Because of that, if he is a good driver I think he might win. I have beaten alot of MT's before the Final drive mod and I think something was done to the tranny before I bought the car, I just don't know what. The most I've ever had it apart was changing the fluid and adding the gears,but I know something has to be done.

Ha, my cars slow as hell, I can't beat manuals PERIOD. I'll see what happens after final drive mod and stage II custom turbo kit :P
