I went and bought a msd coil pack,and I took mine off and found out that the plug was different,I saw where someone had already posted about the plug and I was just wundering if anybody knows where I can found it or knows how I can fix it to make it work thanks

what year is your car what year is the MSD pack for
96 is fucked b/c its 95-96 1/2 for one coil pack and 96 1/2-03 on the other.

I looked it up msd ignitions 2002 catalog says 93-98 mitsubishi 2.0 eclipse pn 8229 I guess they are all the same

Look at your coil pack if it has 3 round terminal pins use part number 8229. If it has three flat terminal pins use part number 8239.

1996 eclipse here. a got the 8229 fits fine , but dont look to notice as much a hair of difference from the stock

you should probably upgrade the rest of your ingnition then cause just changing the coil won't do it. a set of wires and a coil pack like a crane coil pack or a msd dis-2 or dis-4 (can't remember which one) will make the difference. my friend has that setup on his car and there is a big difference

well...i had my cat removed and it started running rich....all the mods i've had done to my car; cone filter(removed the air box)msd 8.5mm plug wires bosch platinum + 4s test pipe and a muffler thats it....i thought if i put the msd coils pack on it ..it might help it from runin as rich..and yes i'm goin to put a msd dis2 ignition on it...lol but thanks
