I've only heard of one or two people using them, there could be more. Personally, i'm going to get one after going turbo. Basically, since it's thicker, it lowers compression (by one point to 8.6:1). Lower compression means less chance of detonation. Then you can turn the boost up a little more, but remember, in the end, good fuel management saves your engine. By no means is the headgasket as safe as rebuilding with forged internals and lower compression pistons... Just think of the headgasket as a "just in case" and not a reason to crank up boost and it'll serve it's purpose.
