i went to have my magnaflow universal(street series) muffler put on today, but the guy said he couldnt put it on without putting a big clamp aorund the muffler, because there was no hangers.
i know people here have the same muffler on their stock exhaust piping. is this guy just a dooshbag? how did you guys get your mufflers mounted?

Hangers can be welded onto the muffler. These can hook to the stock hanger locations. Any muffler shop can do this for approx. $20 for total install. If you performance shop does not offer welding/hangers, then just buy the muffler from them and have it installed at a professional muffler shop.

he's a doosh. tell him to weld new hangers onto the muff. as long as they're some what high up on the canister you won't be able to see them.

Yup, my magnaflow got welded hangers with no hitches or questions asked by the installer.

mine was installed by a serious retard, but he used hangers too. Didn't even mention them. Of course, he didn't use goggles when welding, and used a torch to remove those "useless rubber things" as he called them... he was a grade A dumass. It's crooked as hell, but it sounds good and I like it. Good luck!:7
