43627, question about ignition from crane? Posted by freddy_00_69, Feb-05-03 06:57 AM
With the 2 stage rev limiter will i have to get a performance ecu to raise my rev limiter. I am going turbo very soon, i know i will need it when i get to stage 3, but for stage 2 will it allow me to raise it from my stock 7000(7200)RPM, or will i need a different ecu. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but i am still trying to understand everything.

An aftermarket ignition like the Crane or MSD units do not let you raise your rev limit. You would either have to get the AFX ECU or get a standalone system to do that.

Yeah, Ignition amps just improve spark, the stage rev is for settign a lunch if you want to use it.
