I see the post about fixing the slack on the manifold, But i've always had slack from that little black box to the pedal. I can move the gas pedal up and down about 1/2 inch or so. Can this be fixed?

yes u can. u just take the cover off the black metal box that the cables go in. I think U need a 10mm and there is 1 or 2 bolts. Then u just loosen the 2 nuts that are securing the cable to the box. pull the cable till it is tight and tighten the 1 nut inside the box so it just makes contact with the box. Next tighten the nut outside so that the whole setup is now tight. Replace cover and bolt it on. done. Sorry no pics.
