well I cant really speak on how good the B&M is, but I have a cut stocker and love it. I got it from Hurricane GS (dont know if he is still selling them) a long time ago and it was definitely worth the money.

the b&m is definately worth the money, it shortens the shift points either 35% or 50% your choice, as well as shortening the actual shifter over 1 inch
heres how it looks in my car

from what i've heard, cutting the stock shifter and getting a symbroski shift kit (machv.com) feels just as good as getting a b&m and a shift kit.
also, to shorten shift points, you can do the clutch cable "short throw" mod. I think it's on the main page, but i'm sure if you searched for it, it'll come up.

How about buying a B&M short shifter and then cutting about 1 1/2 inches off of that? That's what I did!

If youve got the money id buy the b&m. If you want somethin free then just cut it down and weld it together.

Go for the B&M kit, unless you know how to weld or can get someone to do it for you at a good price.

I personally have never felt/used a B&M but i heard it's good..but on my car i have a 2" Cut short shifter with symborski smooth shift kit with greddy shift knob and it feels great.

I cut a LOT out of my stock shifter, and then took some flat pieces of metal and welded some into the bottom part below the pivot point to shorten the throw, right now, when it's in first gear, the bottom of my shifter TOUCHES the metal, but just barely and it still engauges just fine. I LOVE it.

How about the Stillen unit, it might still be on sale for $99 bones, and works well.
