43218, Whats difference between Short Throw Shifters? Posted by rhui, Jan-31-03 05:26 AM
Hey guys, Is there a difference between a STillen short throw shifter and a B&M short throw shifter? (Either than price?) Do they both do the same thing, install the same?
Thnx, Ritchie

Yes, they both do the samething. I know the B&M is ajustable from 30% throw to 50% less throw. I don't know which actually sits shorter, but I hear alot of good things about the B&M. I don't know anything about the Stillen.

I have the B & M short shifter along with the Symborski shifter kit and I love it! The difference between making your own and buying a short shifter is that the short shifter sits lower AND shortens the throw necessary to engage the gear, making for faster shifting. I would highly recommend the B&M shifter, I love it. -Chris b.
