hey, I have a strait pipe where my resonater was. Now I drive a lot and I dot want it to be n e louder. So I wana cut out the strait place and slip on a cherry bomb and clamp it on with two muffler clamps. Now do you think I have a strait enough run to clamp it on? And do you think the clamps will make a good enough seal? TIA!

NAPA makes a product called EasySeal. it is a clamp made with stainless steel sheeting. I bought one on accident from Extreme Motorsports one time, they look great! unfortunately they only carry the 3" version at Extreme:( , but maybe napa can get one in your size.
here it is

you may want try this product from howells, the Purple Horney Muffler
it is for the neon to replace their cat. it bolts right up. you may want to call and see if it would work for you. it is like $28.00
btw. clamps don't do that great of a job. you can almost guarantee a leak. I ended up putting gasket sealer in the gap of mine to stop a small leak. talk about ghetto.

Call Summit and they'll have some total seal type clamps. They probably carry something like Edelbrock's brand, but they are much better than the standard type clamp. Just run down to a local auto jobber and grab a $15 glasspack the right size for you.
