Has anyone put a lightened flywheel on their cars? If so, how much did the install cost (or is it easy to do), and did you notice a performance gain (faster revs, acceleration, etc)?

a fly wheel install would be as difficult as a clutch since you usually have to take both off depending on if your modular or non modular. even if you don't have to take it off it's still right there.

not to many people drive on those that use their car daily. it won't add horsepower just makes the motor more responsive because it has less weight to spin (revs faster).

they won't "add" hp, but you will get more HP to the ground because of the ease of the engine revving...pretty much same principle as an underdrive pulley...

I have the fidanza aluminum flywheel. I did notice a difference in how quickly the engine revs and de-revs and am pleased with it. You can expect to feel about the same amount of gain as the UDP. As far as installation goes, I did it myself so it didnt cost anything :).

I just got my Clutch Masters aluminum flywheel today. It is by FAR lighter than a '95 flywheel. That is about all I can tell you because I dont have it in the car yet. :)
