42801, anyone have a pic of the tranny fluid plug positions? Posted by ez, Jan-26-03 11:07 AM
Maybe I'm looking at the tranny from the wrong positions, I'm not sure I'm seeing the correct things. a pic would definately help, yo! I'm a visual!
from the search engine: "on the drivers side of the transmission where the driver side axle comes out there is a threaded plug at the bottom and a rubber plug at the top. The drain plug is the bottom one and the fill plug is the top. "
Do you guys get the Mopar MTX fluid from satan? or is it cheaper from a chrysler dealership.

42818, do you use a tube? Posted by ez, Jan-26-03 03:01 PM
cool thanks. I hate those hand drawn diagrams in the manual, I have no idea which way is up left right etc...
last question, how do you check the level of the oil through the filler hole? Is it big enough to stick your finger in or are you using something. I will need some kind of tube to get the oil in there, or do the mtx trans fluid containers have some kind of tubing on them so you can squirt in the fluid horizontally?

i just fill it until it starts to run out the hole. i get a hose that will go about halfway down the nozzle and stick it on the bottle and stick the other end in the tranny hole.
