that way to high. the gasket couldn't be more than $60 tops from mitsubishi, cheaper at chrysler. you will have to drain the oil so whatever it will cost you for an oil filter/oil, gasket, and maybe some RTV. it sure won't be even close to $220

Gasket is ~$32 form Dodge. Filter $10 tops. Oil $25 tops. RTV $8.

So you are paying at least $145 labor for an hour job :nono

Do it yourself! Grab a buddy, a floor jack and a case of beer and have at it! We turned out to be able to reuse the old one in mine. Just added some serious amounts of RTV to make sure. It took us about 6 hours, but we had a couple "trouble" bolts and basic hand tools. You can do it!

Yea.... Whats the best book out there that would help me with the engine? I might just try at it myself.

Thanks

I've got the Chiltons Manual. Pretty helpful most of the time. :thumbsup
As far as doing the pan yourself, it's pretty straight forward. Once the car's up off the ground,
you gotta pull the crossmember (about 6 bolts),
remove your exhaust from the header to the cat (about 6 bolts, hit em with wd-40 or the like a few minutes before to ease the struggle)then it's just a matter of draining the oil and pulling the pan.
Make sure you wear some eyel protection. You don't want road grime in your eyes. That would suck major ass!
Later!
