Last night ,we were following some people I know to catch their races on video, when we did a u-turn and i took off, about the time i hit 60 i saw smoke BILLOWING out the back of the car and the engine bay, so i pulled over. I guess teh guy behind me went ahead to get the guy in frotn of me to turn around and get me. He thought i'd blown the motor. I really didn't know what to think, because when i pulled over, the motor was running fine. I got out, looked it over, i couldn't see anything but smoke everywhere. I limped it back to his house and got it up in the air and found that there was about a 1" split in my bottom heater hose. Fuck, just when i thought i'd fixed everything in this car. At the same time, a sigh of relief came over me that it wasn't the headgasket or anything similar. My car's now stuck at his house and my engine bay is disgusting :(.

i just found my coolant leak too. its the lower radiator hose. its rubbing on the motor mount bracket and it made a cut in the hose that cant be seen unless you look from under the car.

LOL, this wasn't a leak, it drained my entire coolant supply including reservoir in less than 5 minutes!!

Yea, pretty sure, i was close to my buddy's house, so it's there now. we got it off, it was rusted to the firewall.

This leak has ben bugging you for some time hasn't it?

yep, blowing hoses can scare the hell outta ya, i had the little section right over the exhaust split a little while back, sprayed coolant right on the manifold = massive steam cloud. i thought the engine was done for.

I had my little hose over the manifold split recently also.... only at the end, so it sprayed DIRECTLY onto my air filter for my intake. NOT GOOD. No worries, I caught it before anything devastating happened.

Hehe,actually my original leak i took care of a few weeks ago, it was my water pump. I don't remember how much shit flew through my head at once when that happened, headgasket? new water pump completely died?? Maybe i should put up a
"next anticipated OEM part to break" section in the sig. it was the heater hose on back of the engine, so it was a huge slut to get off.

Mine did the same thing on a 0-60 sprint.It scared the crap out of me,but I got it fixed and replaced the other hose at the same time.Mine was stuck to thee outlet against the fire wall.I had to cut it off with hobby knife:-)

hey, thats exactly what happened to me!!! I don't have my "heater hose kit" in yet, so i havent decided to replace them both or not yet. i was right at 60 when it happened
