I just ordered a 95 neon flywheel and a CM Stage 3 Non-Modular Clutch for a 95 Neon... is this the right set up? also it sucks because no one had the CM in stock so it had to get ordered from California and I am in Florida ;( anyway... is there anything else I need or need to know or do before/during/after this install? Please help!!! Thanx

Yes, it is. You'll merely have to replace the stock pressrue plate currently existing in your car with your new flywheel + clutch assembly.

It seems people have had issues with alleged the mainshaft pressure bearing rattling within the tranny, post install. If this is indeed as frequent a problem as it seems, I'd consider acquiring a new one for the install as well as employing the throwout bearing that already comes with the clutch.

Ok before I ordered the clutch.... i had planned on doing another idea and had ordered a throwout bearing from the dodge dealer. Now the CM stage 3(95 neon non-modular) comes with a throwout bearing, should I use the one that comes with the clutch or the one from the dodge dealer(which i ordered for a 97 eclipse RS) so i guess I am wondering if the TOB that comes with the 95 Neon CM Stage 3 Non-modular diff than the one from the dodge dealer thats for a 97 eclipse modular clutch?????????? Also this mainshaft pressure bearing......what exactly is this? where is it located? does this come with the cluch I ordered? if not where can I get it and how much $$$$ will it cost me? is it easy to put in? I need some info on this so it's done right....Please! Help!!!!!

I don't know, but I would use the one that comes with the CM clutch. Merely examine both when they arrive. You can more easily return the one your bought separately from Mopar I would guess. I'm also assuming they're both very similar or the same.(only one question mark necessary BTW)

It's the bearing that applies constant pressure from the flywheel side to the clutch. Goes in the back of the crankshaft. This is the description of course I deduced from reading other people's posts regarding this issue. However, it's not the "pilot bearing". Apparently, we don't have one.

I've edited this post like 4 times in search of this mainchaft bearing. Apprarently, I can't find it, and even after a thorough read of neons.org, they only elude to this rattling whether it ocurring with the clutch pushed in or not, as being related solely to the throwout bearing OR a "transmission slinger." You're going to have to consider your options, and inspect your clutch setup and make your own educated decision, I guess.

However, if you're really worried about doing all of this, then why not just drop your car off at a transmission shop and pay them to do the clutch swap. I'm not sure if this type of work should be attempted if you're feeling this unsure of yourself.
