I have a Borla SS muffler (oval), gutted kitty, and a 2.5" resonator, and my exaust sounds pretty nice, not too loud, and def not like a honda fart cannon. The turbo quiets it somewhat though.

mine was like $75 from a reputable seller on ebay. It had a small dent in the side but you can't see it when the muffler is on the car

I've bought an Arospeed before and also a no-name brand, both of these being straight-through 2.5" dual tips.
In either case, I've been pleased with the deep, clear sound without any droaning.
I had bought a SS straight through muffler with 4" dual tips that was way too loud for my tastes. It was one of those dual cannister mufflers. I've since sold that one to Ryan. I recommend any muffler that's please to the eyes that isn't obnoxiously too big in terms of the exit tip diameter. Somewhere less than 4" (single tipped) or 3" (dual tipped); that's just my opinion, though.
