4181, injen cold air extension question
Posted by 97eclipseRS, Jun-27-01 04:58 AM
this is for anyone that has the injen short air w/ cold air extension. does the extension have its own bracket also, or does it just hang onto the short air part? i need to know because i'm gonna buy it and the aem bypass and try to use them together. has anyone done this? if there isn't a bracket on the extension then i don't think it'll work. thanks

It will probably come with a connection sleeve and a couple of the metal screw-on straps just like the ones that connect your intake to the throttle body. I was also wondering cause I have an injen intake too with out the extension, but would I be correct to say that the intake bolts on to the side of the engine using the L member that the intake comes with? The problem with my connection is that my screw that goes into the side of my engine is missing so I can't really hook it up untill I find the correct screw size.

BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT!!!!

It came with some sort of bracket that didn't make much sense to me it had a bushing a bolt and a couple things. But nothing that looked like it went anywhere that made sense to me so the rubber hose that clamps the two together screwed down with the two hose clamps holding it on. And it's been that way for several months with no problems. It rests on the plastic spash guard.
