you will use the 2.4 belt with the 2.4 block but you will need to take the cam gears off the 2.4 head and put the cam gears on the 2.0 head.

The 2.0 and 2.4 gears are exactly the same. You put them on one way for the 2.0 and flip them over for the 2.4 (they are marked for both). Anyway that is not the problem. He is having a hard time figuring out how the tensioner is supposed to work. After we figure that out the motor is ready to go back in the car. Any help is appreciated.

I have seen the page from bob stockum but that tensioner set-up is different. We just wanted to use the sock tensioner. It is just a pullet that bolts to the block. It dosent have the plunger thing like the 2.0. I think it is a solid tensioner but i am not shure. We have a chiltons manual but it dosent show this tensioner either. Aparenty it was redesigned by chrysler so we had to trim the covers for it to fit now we just have to figure out how it works.

I forgot which belt tensioner, but I think it was the pt crusier one, he went to the dealership and ordered a new one, and it's spring pressed or spring something
