41327, I have a question about oil press. guage installation Posted by Scarface, Jan-10-03 09:08 AM
I wanna get one for my car, my question is, i have a Gs, I was wondering where to put the guage, I was kinda thinking like getting a turbo guage bezel and drilling a whole in my dash cluster for the new guage probably above the gas guage, I was also thinking about one of those guage pods that go around the dash, like around the steering wheel. I don't really want a pod holder that goes on the a pillars, those aren't my bag, but if worse comes to worse I'll get one. Thanks for the help

^^^its illegal to post a comparison pic using a honduh in the performance/engine section, hehe ;-)
nawww....
if you put the gauge inside your car, make sure its not a mechanical gauge... rather an electric one.....
good luck

I don't have any pics of it but if you have an RS then you probably don't have any switches in the panel on the left side of the gauge cluster. 2 - 52mm gauges fit in there PERFECT one on top of the other. I had my EGT and MECHANICAL oil pressure gauges there.

I have the Autometer gauge bezel, holds two gauges, it's very nice. But I also have the a-pillar pod so I can hold 5 gauges. But the bezel is very nice.

Thanks guys, yeah I like the bezel thing, but I'm kinda just looking for one guage, so I found a single guage holder that goes on the a-pillar so I'm gonna go with that one.
