41271, Idle Problem

Alright, this has been happening for awhile I just never bother posting it. I know some about cars but not enough, so I think I have narrowed my problem.

But what happens is after my car is warmed up ( and I have been driving for awhile) when sitting at lights my car will start to die - its not always though, just once and awhile. I'll be sitting there, and the rpms will fall to like 100 to 200 then sit there, then it goes back up. (sits there for maybe 5-10secs - never had it stall though). The car seems to do it randomnly too - like some days it will do it and others not (doesn't seem weather dependant).

I'm auto incase you didn't know and the rest of the mods are in the signature. The car just started doing it within the last 2 months - since then I've had the headgasket and timing belt replaced.

I'm not really sure what it could be though, possibly a leaking vacuum line, maybe my battery is going bad, or one of my belts? I really don't know.

Your IAC may be getting gunked up. (it may also be a great deal of other things, but that's a very common problem)

Do you have a CEL?

I'll just add my .02 cents now. Ive been having a hesitation problem(as well as many other members of this board) for months and months now. I've spent hundreds of dollars on a fix, so let me give you some good advice. Take the car to Satan(dont flame) and have them run the diagnostic on your car. This way your problem will diagnose quickly and you can fix it on your own time without have to pay out of the ass for it. You spend 80 bucks now and save hundreds in the end. I realized this today and my car is going in the shop tomorrow. I hope you find out what your problem is.

Hahah.... thanks man. I'm just wondering why they didn't figure anything out when they changed the headgasket...oh well.

Your EGR valve may be getting stuck open.
