41235, ARD porting intake manifold ? Posted by 1TuffRS, Jan-09-03 12:49 AM
Does anyone know exactly how much it is for them to port and polish the enitre manifold, or atleast a way for me to get in touch with them?? I think brad got his done and got them to bore out his stock tb for like 150. I have the jeep TB setup so I dont need a larger TB, I just want the runners done. TIA

I emailed them a while back: 80 for the manifold, 140 for 57mm tb.
So for you, just the 80 and you have to send in your own intake mani.

^ditto. Mine was done by them, Owen did a good job on it for me. Send then a gasket set and get it port matched to the gasket when you do it.

definitely, I cant believe they do it at such a great price, how long is the turn around and are the results worth the money spent??

they did mine, and they didnt port the entire manifold... jsut about 4-5 inches from the head, left the inside stock, and then they gasket matched the sandwich spot (where they both bolt together) and then the opening where the t/b bolts up to..
i was displeased that they didnt port the whole mani, but the work they did definately was felt on the butt dyno, and at the track...
for 80 bux, u cant go wrong....imo... but they dont port the whole mani....

well.. as far as getting way into the inside of the manifold.. the tools required for that would make it cost significantly more even if they had them already on hand, plus much more time would be required to get all the way into the runners with the tools required. The only tru way to get the full length of the runners polished and partly ported would be to extrude hone them..

well if that is the case I think Doug and I can do that ourselves. Might as well save my 80 bux + shipping for the turbo kit

Hmm... what I remember from examining mine was that the runners were fully ported/polished, inlet for the tb was ported ,polished(gasket matched all around). The only thing they didn't touch was the main body up top, which would take extrude honing to get to. But runners done all the way.

1tuffrs, are you still doing your jeep tb and porter upper intake manifold deal?? Please let me know, thanks

yep, we have yet to get our cores back, but I think we are just going to go out and buy more with their core charge because it has been quite some time. I have a list of all who want the jeep TB, at this time it is about 10 people long, so....the fastest way to get a setup from us is to purchase atleast an extra upper manifold and TB (and possibly the jeep TB) and we will put you at the top of the list. If you give us all three parts we will charge you 100 bux and have it tested and ready to go in a couple of weeks. If you only give us the stock TB and upper intake manifold, it will cost you 175, but atleast you wouldnt have to wait for the 10 people in front of you to get their setups
