ive heard of some people on here doing it,, does it really help at all?? i just intalled nitrous,, and they said that a change in the filter would be a good idea,, so basically what tools are needed, how much 4 the filter,, and of course,, where is it? back by the tank??..thanx todd

If it is a 95 - take out the battery, take out the windshield fluid reservoir, and take unbolt the brake fluid reservoir.

If a 97 on up - post again.

Its about 20 bucks.

its a 97,, do u have 2 get the filter from either the mitsu or eagle dealer,, or can u get 1 from pep boys or somethin on those lines,, thanx todd

I have a 97 mitsu, and I changed my filter about 3 months ago. the fuel filter is on your rear passenger side right in fron tof the rear tire (if that makes sense). you'll have to remove 3 bolts to gain access to the fuel filter.
Be careful when removing the filter that you are applying the same amount of counter torque or are holding one end steady as you may crack the fuel line... pretty easy maintence. Just kinda in a odd position.
