Ok, I just finished a full engine rebuild, and now the car won't start. There's spark, fuel in the rail, and compression- but fuel isn't getting into the cylinders at all. I had the head+injectors in a plastic bag in my garage for the last 6 months.

Can injectors rust/clog if exposed that long? Or am I looking for an injector control (ASD?) relay somewhere? Is the gas bad somehow?

- Turns over fine.
- Spark is fine.
- Definitely have fuel in the rail. Leaking out of the FPR too.
- 2psi HG vacuum while cranking.
- Noticeable compression when cranking with spark plug removed
- 100psi fuel pressure while cranking, 60 afterwards, with key off.
- Stock injectors, stock fuel pump, accel inline, hrc billet FPR.
- Fuel pumps come on, prime, and run while cranking.
- Fuel is 7 months old, 1/8 tankful.
- ECU and ignition relays hum and click like they're supposed to.
- Haven't electrically tested ASD relay...

if you have had the same gas in the car for 6 months i would definatly drain it and through some new gas and a little fuel system cleaner in there. gas will start going bad in 60 days i believe, i had mine with the same 1/4 tank of gas for 2 1/2 months and the onlyway to get it to start was put 3 bottles of fuelsystem cleaner in. i got it going long enough to drive a block to the gas station. i had to change my fuel pump and fuel filter a coulple weeks later too.

I would agree with that. 6 months is a long rebuild so the gas in your tank is defintly not the best. So I'm repeating with drain the gas and get some cleaner. That would be atleast the first thing I would try.

Would "bad" gas cause the injectors to clog? Because there's "no" gas getting injected into the cylinders, bad or otherwise. thx...

Update:
- Still have 50psi fuel pressure (car's been off all night) in the rail o_O
- Checked ASD relay and it correctly switches to 12v when started
- Fuel pump relay works correctly
- Checked Injector connection and it gets ~5v when the injector fires

double check your crank and cam sensors/wiring harnesses to be sure they are plugged in. The ECU needs these signals to fire the injectors.

if you didn;t have them in a bag i would say the gas would have evaportated. since gas starts to gum up(varnish) when it goes bad it probably did in the injectors. if you soak them in some injector cleaner it might work. i would try not the get the electrical connector part in it just incase

The injectors batch fire on startup, which uses the crank angle sensor, not the cam angle sensor. The cam position sensor is used for sequential injector firing and verification of the crank angle sensor's output. Check the wiring going to the injectors, and if that is A-OK, pull the injectors, and soak the pintile caps in kerosene (pintile caps are the part of the injector where the fuel comes out of). I can't picture them clogging badly enough to prevent the injectors from opening, but it is possible. If you have access to another PCM, swap it in and see what happens. You may have somehow roasted your injector driver.

Where is the ASD relay for the injectors??

Also, where is the crank angle sensor?

MFI/ASD Relay is the middle box on the driver's firewall.

Crank angle sensor is on back of block, lower passenger side, only one with a bolt in it.

Thanks guys, I'll try cleaning out the injectors and swapping in some new ones today. New gas too if I can manage not to explode the car.

We got it running.

#1 injector was clogged and wouldn't fire (no click when hooked up to 12v power)

#2, 3, and 4 were very dirty and weren't flowing right.

Swapped in new 42lb (441cc) injectors and got them idling on the HRC billet FPR... not sure the idle pressure, since my fuel gauge clogged too.
