What are the torque specs for the flywheel??

hmm...no listing in either the FSM or Chiltons. Sorry.

The torque specs for the crank pulley bolt are 110 ft lbs according to Haynes manual but that is pretty hard to believe.

do you mean the flywheel or is it the crankpulley?

That's right for the crank pulley - 110, but that's not the flywheel. Chilton lists flywheel torqe specs for all other models besides the non-turbo 2.0L.

1.8L : 94-101 ft lbs.
2.0L 90-94 : 22 ft lbs.
2.0L 95-98 turbo : 98 ft lbs.
2.4L : 98 ft lbs.

Maybe we're similar to the 2.0L 95-98 turbo torque settings. I really don't know. Anyone?

i dunno either, but i sure wouldnt start guessin...

98ftlbs is way to tight i wouldn't tighten it more then about 45 most other cars mustang and such that are non modular are like 22-30ftlbs

the guy who is building my engine is making an educated guess from his experience so I will let you guys know.
