40277, Auto to Manual question

Ok I’ve decided to finally do it. I’ve done the level ten stall and valve body plus the final gear mod, and I’m over it. I’ve got all the parts for the MTX swap. My question is, In order for the MTX computer to work do i need to switch the whole wiring harness or can I splice in to the one that’s on the car now? I’ve searched for 3 hours now and read that someone spliced in for the reverse lights and neutral switch. Also do you all recommend stage 3 or 4 ACT clutch. I’m running 17 psi. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

No need to do anything to the wiring harness in order to use the mtx computer. Simply remove AT and put in MT computer. However, in order to get the speedo working you will need the electrical coupling from the Manual Tranny and you will need to splice into the lower wiring harness of ECU. You will have to do similar splicing for the reverse lights to some other harness, cant remember exactly which but this site should help:

Courtesy of Bill, scroll near the bottom and all your questions will be answered. I just finished the swap with the help of some friends, and regardless of all the cuts, bruises, and pain, It is definitely well worth it in the end. Good Luck
