Do you have motor mount inserts?

what's your car idling at (RPM wise)? if it's lower then 800 you'll probably get alot of vibration, ya may want to turn the screw up just a hair on the throttle plate stop to bring the rpm's up and the vibration should lessen. that is if it's idling too low. if it's idling at like 900-1000 and your still getting alot of vibration your car may be mis-firing and such. which means you may need a basic tune-up.

My car idles as normal. i had my basic tune-up done 2000 miles ago..spark plugs, pcv valves..etc..i have no clue. arent most manual transmission cars' steering wheels supposed to vibrate a little bit anyways?

No clue...anyone else for an answer? thanks!

motor mount inserts cause MORE vibration to be transfered to the rest of the car from the motor, that's why they asked if you had them.

Sounds like a broken motor mount!

Does your motor vibrate too? If so then I would look towards a motor mount. Are you manual or auto? Watch the engine that might help you have a friend help if it's auto or put on the e-brake if you want to try to simulate you being in gear.

Ok, so i've been checking my idle and such. Turns out that when at a complete stop now, my car likes to dip low, and idle at 700-800. how do i turn the idle up to 1000 rpms or so? also, how can i diagnose a broken motor mount? or do i have to take the car to Mitsu to have it checked??

thanks guys!

ok, a broken motor mount shouldn't cause more vibration in the car.. infact it might even lessen the vibration that you feel.
but to turn the idle up.. there should be an 'idle adjust' screw on the throttle body, it should just be simple screw that adjusts how far the throttle plate closes, adjust it while the car is running so you know how far you need to turn it, if any.

i dont believe the 2gnts have an idle adjustment screw (or theres none i can see!). to adjust the throttle plate, you must loosen the bracket on the front of the throttle body that holds the throttle cable in place and push it towards the passengers side of the car and then tighten it back down. the further you push it back the taughter (sp?) the cable gets and the further open the throttle plate will stay. be carefull though, i tried this once and my brakes kept wanting to fight the engine. it made horrible noises at the stop light.

A worn motor mount will cause more vibration at idle, what happens is that there is less rubber to dampen between the center shaft and the outer ring... As for the idle, we don't have an idle set screw, as it is completely controlled by the IAC in the throttle body. This stepper motor is controlled by the PCM.
