3994, Super Hot Intake... Posted by Kahn, Jun-24-01 03:15 PM
Hey guys,
Recently I installed some brospeed headers, well today I was driving around, and when I got back from a rather short trip mayybe 20 minutes I noticed that my intake pipe was super hot - like you didn't want to touch it hot - I do not have the heat shield on my headers - has anyone else experienced this??? Thanks for the help. May be looking for a iceman or aem intake soon if this continues - haven't had any problems with the car though. Thanks guys.

You could wrap the intake pipe with that heat wrap. Probably wouldn't look all that great but it would help I think.

Wrap the headers, or get some aluminum and make a heat shield.
