39877, howell or ard bore
Posted by KSeclipse, Dec-17-02 11:26 PM
I am going to ship out my t.b. to get it bored but can't decide whether i should go for howells 55 or ard's 57. I'm non turbo so i don't know if it matters or if the 57 is too big. Anyone have some advice. Also i heard that the intake manifold entrance has to match the size of the t.b. so if i bored it out would i have to bore the intake manifold. And couldn't i just dremel it or something.

im sure ARD could do yours to 55 if you wanted.. just email them and ask. For the price.. i would go with ARD. They do good work and many people on here can speak for them. as for the manifold matching.. that is a separate measure that can be done, but you would need to send them a spare intake manifold so they can get it done along with the tb. now.. if you felt confident enough you could bust out a dremel and port out that opening some to match the slightly larger tb opening. Many people have done that, so if you need or want instructions just do a quick search on that subject and go from there.
