I am about to install Tru-Time Cam gears. While i'm at it, i was thinking about installing under d. crank pully. The question is that... i herd that if you got a system(audio) in your car, the under drive pully can cause some problems. Like doesn't recharge the battery and stuff. Can any one tell me anything if you have installed cams and pully and have a system (atleast 2 10"s) How does it run? How is the battery? How does all the other accesory work? HOOK ME UP!!

waiting for my UDP to arrive before I install the AEM cam gears and get my timing belt changed. As for your question, its an interia thing, everything is exactly the same but since the UDP is smaller and lighter it takes less work from the engine to turn the pulley.

I have no worries about the install and Im running 2 12" Rockfords and a 1000W power series AMP

there was a post a week or two ago about this, run a search and see what you find. There was a ton of useful info on it.

Thanks for your response...I did check the other posts too...but, none of them has still answered my questions. I have read this on some sites that it said that UDP is NOT for HIGH POWERED SOUND SYSTEMS. I don't know, I was planning on getting an UDP but after reading it, it questioned me. So, I would really like to get some feeback from people that actually have a sound system and UDP installed. It said something like more than 400W amplifier would do it... so, hit me back!!!

YOu will be just fine. I run 3 Directed amps, 2 of which are 1100 watts a piece, and one of which is 500 watts. NO probs at all with battery charge. BUT, i do run the optima yellow top battery, which helps any audio system out. I do notice slight dimming of lights at night, at idle, with stero on. I would suggest not to be running full volume of your system at long periods of idling, but you only have a 400 watt amp, so you should be just fine. Just a slight tap of the gas pedal, and lights go back to full brightness. Just dont sit at idle a long time with a large electrical load on the alternator.

if your worried about it you can always get a higher amp alternator. some people also use two batteries.

Crower stage 2 cams, UDP, and for a short time 2 12"s and 400 watt amp... or soemthing like that (before I removed the box). And no problems with battery voltage.

Whats a reasonable price to get cam gears set up? i'm going to do the installation...but i don't think i can set the cam gears other than the original stock settings. Because i've heard that different cars with exact mods can have different cam setting. I don't know. I guess I have to get it up on the dyno. Tell me things about cam gears that you guys have went through and things i need to know!

i think i rember there being some posts awhile back that said to set the intake to +4 and leave the exhaust at 0

yea, i heard that too. Actually, the import tuner RS i read in a post somewhere was set to +7 degrees intake and 0 exhaust, that produced the extra 8 hp it got. When I put my cam gears on, i'm going for +4 intake. seems safe to do it that way without having to find a dyno.

Dyno tune for cam gear adjustments, ALWAYS.
