3951, ISC and problems with my idle
Posted by Brown420, Jun-23-01 10:48 AM
Alright, I think I finally figured out the problem with my idle.

1995 Eagle Talon ESi 5 Spd

My car would surge only after it started to warm up. When it was cold, it would run "tits" for the first 30 sec or so.
Anyways,
These are the things I tried:

Clean TB
Removed Intake manifold and cleaned that
New EGR valve
New TPS
New Fuel Filter
New PCV valve
Multiple sets of new plugs and wires(Including Magnacore, which are shit)

The only thing left that could be it was the ISC.
So, the other day I took off the TB again and removed the ISC
I then reconnected the ISC while it was off the TB and had my friend turn the key to ON.
All the ISC motor did was twitch. It didn't move in or out at all.
I then became a dumbass and decided to pull on the "piston"
Which proceeded to really F$%# the thing up.
So I pushed the piston down as far as it would go.
I then reinstalled the ISC.
When I first started the car the CIL was on because I broke the ISC, but my car Idled much better than it had before.

So, I think that since I know the ISC is broken and the car still exhibits similar symtoms, that this has to be my problem.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH AN ISC COSTS?

I know I can get the bored TB from howell with a new TPS and ISC installed already for about $300.

Thanks guys, sorry about the long post

I finally have some diferent rims. Pics of these coming soon
