do you guys think it will give better better gas mileage

I don't know of anyone that uses it, but one of the magazines (Import Tuner I think) did a install and test with is on a Honda and it had some benefits. Personally, I don't think it's worth the money, but try it if you want.

Im doing my own right now, I work for a company that makes alot of cable assemblies so I have access to alot of wire and connectors,etc..

I know many think its just a gimmic but I have seen numerous dyno results as much as 15hp gain on some vehicals even more is possible on others. Everyone knows you need a solid ground and it you have bad grounds you get problems, so why not beef up the ground system and be all set.

I work in telecommunications and the grounding system is soooo important, there was a central office in Florida that had a bad ground system and it needed to be completely redone because of the possibility of during a lightning strike it could have caused anyone on the phone in that area to have their ear drums blown out just because of an improper grounding mesh.

Hmmm crazy and I'm sure it works - its just whether its better then stock or not. How much does a set for our car go for?

Nope wrong....its $89.00 already priced it out.....after christmas I will get it for the sole purpose of giving the electronics in my car alittle bit more power like the lights for example....it will make them alittle more brighter...but hey i will take whatever power gains in the process

Tell you guys what, I'll go to work tonight with some 4 and 8 gauge cable and some connectors and test it on the butt dyno and tell ya if it did anything.

I have a CRX and know where all the ground wires are. Maybe I am a big Dumbass but where are our grounds (other than the obvious on the battery). None on our valve cover like honduhs I am sure, so where else...

QWait so this just connects the battery ground to the body chassis?

I dont know about under the hood of your car, but on mine there is a wire already connecting the negative battery terminal to the body...

course I dont know how that thing installs so Im nt sure what it could do for our cars.

The diff. between this system and our OEM grounding system is that the hyper system makes all ground connections into one series connection, so instead of going from a ground point to the battery, these go to all the groundpoints in series and then to the battery.

Each groundpoint will have 2 wires attached to it,one from the previous ground point and one to the next ground point

so it basically grounds twice off the battery. wouldn't you be able to just beef up your ground cable. my local car audio place sells "ground straps" they're braided steel straps that go from battery to ground and works in conjunction with your stock ground.

btw they sell these because they take noise out of stereo systems at high volumes.

this is very interesting, and no one has seemed to wonder exactly how this works, so i pose that as a question. what possible help could lower resistance grounds be? could it help with spark? could it help with fuel delivery? against what the magazine said, im calling BS,(assuming its used on a stock 420a, i dont know about other vehicals). the difference would be so nominal that the same outcome could be attaned by adjusting spark plug gap and changing wires, or doing the fuel pump re-wire....in fact, im willing to bet that those are more signifigant mods that the ground upgrade.

id be interested in finding outthe specifics used in testing out the new grounds. somthing tells me hteres a hidden third veriable invoved. ;)

if you look at the cars that where tested, most of them are high hp makeing cars. Maybe this is why the gain was so big. As for our cars, we dont make that much power in stock form so we might not see a gain that big or even noticable at all. I would buy the regular stuff we have been getting and then after some big things have been bought maybe get the wires for that little extra hp or something to top off our projects.

that won't do shit, i i took some 8 gauge power wire and made 2 more ground connect coming off the battery terminal connect. it didn't help. you need to run the grounds in series from the battery.a series circuit will divide voltage but the current will be the same. if its wired in a parallel circuit voltage will be the same but current will divide. i'm not sure how much current the electrical system is putting out but if its higher than needed the ground system would raise voltage to components without really affecting the current need by them. so basically the more extra current a vehicles electrical system has, the more power the system makes.

i made my own system. i got some various battery cables, cable ends, cable sleeves and some heat shrink tubing from autozone. all the cable is 4ga except the one going from the battery to the starter bolt its 2ga. here are some pics. i haven't started it yet but i will let you know if i can notice an increase in performance.

As with anything electrical, your groud lead has to be of equal or greater size than your power lead. So if for example, you have a 4GA power, you need a 4GA or bigger ground or you will run into problems. If you try to run a 8GA ground with a 4GA power then it will cause issues. One thing I have seen that seems to work better is one of the guys in our club that is a Mopar tech. He added additional ground straps to various places in the engine bay like to the PS bracket and various other spots. Doing that reduces the static charge on the piece and keeps it from corroding out. You know that funky color your PS pump takes on after awhile? By doing that he has eliminated that problem along with various other spots along the way. Best reason I can think of for upgrading the ground straps in the car would be to provide a more stable ground system and to reduce the amount of static charges floating around which can interfere with signals and what not.

^I agree. Also better wiring is always a good thing. I don't think it is worth $90. You can get some good quality bulk high gauge wire, with connectors and make this yourself.
