ok, i admit i don't know too much bout modding....so I was helping if somebody on here could lead me through the *gasp* simple steps of installing a cold air induction, I just got a cheap one if that makes a difference....i know there are only like 3 things to do, i just don't know what they are....thanks again

1. unlatch the stock air box, like you would to change the air filter.
2. loosen the hose clamp attaching the intake tube to the throttle body
3. remove the hose and airbox from the car.
4. take the bolts out of the remaining section of the airbox(by the fuse box) and remove it from the car.
5. if it is a 1 piece you will probably have 1 rubber connector, with a 2 piece there should be 2 or 3. since its a ebay one i will assume its a 2 piece. take one of the connectors and put it on the throttle body.
6. put 2 hose clamps on the connector and insert the small piece of the tube. tighten only the one on the throttle body side.
7. take another connector and put it on the end of the tube along with 2 clamps clamp only to the small tube side.
8. take the long tube and insert it in the connector to see where the bracket will mount. then take the long tube back off
9. there should be a bolt with a rubber sleeve on it. put it in the proper bolt hole and tighten.
10. attach the filter to the end of the long tube, be sure to clamp it down with a hose clamp.
11. put the filter end in and make sure it fits, you might have to cut some of the splash gaurd. then insert the end of the tube in the connector.
12. attach the bracket but don't tighten it all the way. line every thing up.
13. once everything is lined up tighten all the clamps and the bracket.

wow! where'd you get the blue header? is that a lite blue or a regular blue, I'm looking for one to go with my AEM CAI

ok....i've got the pipe on the throttle body but need to know where the skinny blue hose hounts on to.....also, I didn't get a bolt that should attach the bracket, can I just use any bolt or do I need something special...thanks

the tube goes from the spout on the dr. side of your valve cover to the spout on the intake... kinda next to the battery..

the mounting bolt will be one of the ones used to hold in place the stock airbox, and the cai will bolt up down in the corner..

ok, I got everything attached and drove it and heard the the deep sound, but i still have on question, do I attach the hose on the valve cover that is and the rear driver side of the valve cover? is it that little curved piece that sticks out? or I am just seeing things, and also, the intake that I bought doesn't go all the way to the old filter box, it stops up by the fuse box, I'd say the pip is about 2 feet long w/only two curves...is that a short ram or what? is there anything else that I could mount the intake to???

Yes, you have a short ram air, it only reaches to about the airbox, most cold air intakes come out from the engine compart behind the bumper, right infront of the wheel well.

The little black thing by where the bracket mounts is the bolt i got with mine to attach the bracket to. i didn't use it and the bracket broke off as you can see in the pic. i had to have it welded back on.

thanks, I got everything taken care of, didn't use the bracket just bent the mount...anyways....is there anything like an extension that I could get that would take the short ram down to the bumper? Could I weld something on, b/c thats the cold air that I want...
