The oil pressure idiot light is a great indicator of when you have already spun a rod bearing or 4. Save yourself the trouble, hassle, and motors, and get yourself a good gauge. I recommend the Autometer, I am installing a Phantom electric oil pressure gauge with the new motor. I think that every 420a powered car should have an oil pressure gauge, as these motors are very sensitive to loss of oil pressure.
So do yourself a favour and get one.
