38944, TSi Muffler Posted by MARKUS, Dec-05-02 11:24 PM
I have a someone who wants to sell me an almost new 97 TSi muffler. Does anybody know if this can be fitted to my existing exhaust on my 95 ESi? Or does anyone have any suggestions or comments on anything else I should change on my exhaust if I get this muffler.
Much Appreciated,
Mark

If it is the whole axle back then it will bolt on. If it is just the muffler then you will need to go to a muffler shop and have it welded on, cost ya maybe 20 bucks. You will need to do nothing else, as the only difference in the turbo and the non-turbo exhaust is the muffler.

make sure that it's off of a 2wd TSI, the all wheel drive ones have different muffler setups and won't fit.

^^^ what he said. An AWD muffler has the inlet on the opposite side from the 2wd muffler.
