The Auto tranny ECU will lower the rev limite by almost 800 RPM to just under 6500. Sorry. -=B-=

Where did you get that idea? It does lower the rev limiter
I think you might have to get one of those fancy ignition systems or an aftermarket ECU.

With an aftermarket ignition controller, you can get up to 7800 RPM, which is when fuel cut happens. To go above 7800 RPMs, you would need both an aftermarket ignition controller and an aftermarket fuel computer, or just a standalone. -=B-=

actually getting an aftermarky ignition won't raise the rev limiter. The spark is always computer controled and its cutoff is 7800. Other wise all the stage 4+ guys could rev to where ever they wanted. The fuel cutoff is 7200 so getting rid of that will raise it a little. Only getting a stand alone fuel system will raise the rev limiter to 7800. You need to find a way to reprogram the ecu to get past 7800.
