I really want to get turbo. I was wondering if it would be possible to salvage a turbo and related components from a GS-T and put them in my '97 rs, or if I would need to do a complete engine swap or get an aftermarket kit. What would prices be? Thanx for the help.

those are your best bet. Parts already fabricated, so you don't pay a lot to get untested stuff made. The stuff is tested and proven.
The turbo on a stock GS-T isn't going to give you much room for mods either. Go ahead and get a 16G or T3-T4 and have a turbo that can give you serious power with the right supporting mods. (internals, fuel mods, etc.)

This should be in turbo but if you get the set-up from a gst all you can use is the turbo and intercooler, u still need a mani., intercooler piping, oil lines and fittings, fuel pump, fpr, gaskets and fittings. It would be cheaper and easier just to get a kit 9D9 said.

well i can say from experience that if you have the money for a complete kit, then definetely go for it. but if your like me and want to save some money, do a total custom setup. I'm doing a stage 2 setup in my car, completely custom and after all is said and done i spent 850 bucks on mine, give or take $20 bucks. the plus of it all is that you learn a shitload about your car when your putting things together and you have someone there to help you with it all. i have the hook-up from a few friends so i can get stuff pretty damn cheap. custom is the way to go if you want to learn more about your car. kit is the way to go if you have the money.
