Im getting a CEL 25, and i noticed i have burnt wires beside the EGR pipe, it went through the black plastic tubing and burnt the surface of the two white wires, not sure if it leads to the IAC motor. Wrapping it up with electrical tape any good? any help is appreciated, TIA

try zip tying the wires away from the pipe. just find a way to make it so it doesn't get near the egr

This happened to me twice at different locations along the EGR pipe. Seperate the melted wires (if they're melted together) then wrap it with electrical tape. Of course, zip the harness away from the pipe. Then disconnect the battery to clear the CEL. If that same code comes back, then you it's possible the camshaft position sensor is damaged, or the wire is shorted.

CEL 25 is Camshaft Position: timing over-retarded.

thanks for the info, ill check if my camshaft position sensor is still good and if my wires arent shorted. ill be doing the EGR block off mod to rid anymore burnt wires.
