is it true that a udp is bad for the engine? i've heard that it is because it doesn't have some kind of vibration ring or something. i would like to get one, but i don't want it to mess up my engine in the long run. also, how is it installed is it hard? and what's the best one? thanks

No the UDP will not dammage your engine. The harmonic damper is there on a stock unit because it is so heavy. The Underdrive pulley is made from aluminum and very light. The strain on your engine is no greater, it's probably even less. I'm running the AFX from Howell Automotive and I love it. There are several people here on the board ruinning them and we all love them. The best hp gain for $160 you'll add on. Also don't let someone tell you we have a harmonic balancer... we don't. Install can just take some time. Do a search back and there are several tips from a bunch of us on tips and tricks we found handy when installing the underdrive pulley.
