Hey everyone,

I have a 96 Eclipse, and the clutch is now getting pretty bad. I have been looking up new clutches on the net, but all I've found so far is a Centerforce kit that includes a new flywheel. Someone once told me that the 95-96 Eclipses have "modular" clutches or something. He said something about the flywheel being integrated into the clutch system. Is this accurate? Also, does anyone have any personal experience with aftermarket clutches for this model of Eclipse? Opinions/suggestions?

all 2GNTs except some really early 95 models use modular clutches that do not have a seperate flywheel.

If you're going to get a new clutch, don't get a centerforce. Some people swear by them, but i toasted one in under 5,000 miles, and i know of a few other than have as well. ClutchMasters makes good clutches for our cars, and Advanced Racing Dynamics (click the banner, and call them - Talk to Jody, tell 'em Dino sent you) sells them for fairly cheap.

the clutch masters clutch can be non-modular or modular. they make a clutch for about every car

can't you just unrivit the flywheel and bolt it down?

How sure are we that a PT cruiser clutch would work. Any other mods required? I'm assuming it's modular being neon-related.
