38075, big exhaust questions Posted by KSeclipse, Nov-24-02 01:52 PM
I drive a 98 rs and have no plans of going turbo. I have some pos muffler that I bought when i got my car because i thought it was cool to be loud. Since then i've bought an aem intake and want more power. I've been looking at pace setter headers because they're in my price range and i've also been looking at cat-back systems, and high flow cats. As far as headers go i've heard that you can actually lose torque? if so which ones should I avoid and which ones will give me the most power. With the cat-back systems i've been looking on ebay but i have no real idea of what to be looking for, as far as what inch tubing etc. With no turbo plans should i get a smaller size piping? Also If i got headers, a high flow cat, and a catback system how much h.p. am i looking at adding. And do i have to get certain sized high flow cat in order for it to hook up to the cat back system? And finally, if anyone has any suggestions for any of the above please feel free to list them, i'm open to any suggestions for these exhaust parts. Thank you so much for helping me out

header should not be at the top of your list.. replace it with throttle body, nitrous, port+polish, cams...
